First Annual Reunion- Fun for the Whole Family!

Join us at Bark til Dark Dog Park in Delaware
Sunday, September 14, 2008 5pm to 8pm

Please join us as we spend a day having fun with the special dogs in our lives. Past adopters are allowed to bring up to 3 dogs that are spayed or neutered and current on shots. Children of all ages are permitted in the park for this special event.
We have lots of fun things planned, like best dog trick contest, musical dog sits, best fetch etc. We are also having a photo contest so please e-mail us your best dog photo for a chance to win. You'll be able to meet with animal behaviorist Sharon Smith, take part in fun games, raffles, prizes, and much, much more.
Special thanks to Missi from Bark til Dark for hosting Canine Collective and our happy adoptees! Please R.S.V.P. and/or send your dog photos to Christina at soulfly@columbus.rr.com

Desperate for Foster Homes

Please find room in your heart to help us get our guys a home

Shelby

This is the time of the season where the kids are going back to school and the dog shelters hit capacity and adoption rates plummet. Please welcome a homeless furry friend in your home. We will cover all vetting, food, crates and supplies. Your job will to be show our furry friend the benefits of a home with love, provide social skills and act as a reference to their forever home. If you can help spare a life by providing a temporary home for a dog in need, please contact us at info@caninecollective.org.

Calling all Retirees!!!
Check out the article on our group in the Senior Times available at your local library!
One of our directors is looking challenge all you retired ladies and gentlemen out there!!!! As a retired school teacher, Jean enjoys her daily walks and time with many of our rescued pooches! She states she's probably in best shape of her life and the physical and mental joy she recieves from having fun with some of our active and not-so-active pooches is 'priceless'.
So if you're not ready to become a full time dog parent just yet, talk to us about sponsoring a pooch with daily walks, attention, training, baths, etc. Just a few hours a day you will get you a new friend and make a huge difference in the life of one of our furry faces. We have several dogs of various activity levels looking for a buddy!

Be sure to check us out and add us as a friend on My Space as well. We have albums of our dogs in their new homes and much more. Visit us at:

Cans for Canines

CANS FOR CANINES
We recycle aluminum cans and like items to purchase toys and treats for the dogs at the boarding kennel. You can help by having your household, place of business or school collect cans for us. When you have enough to fill a garbage bag, call us to schedule a drop off.

Make a Difference

Please spay or neuter your pets to prevent unwanted litters. Millions of dogs die in shelters each year because there aren’t enough good homes for them.

Please
don’t buy your pet from a pet store. Pet stores use puppy brokers that buy from auctions and puppy mills. These dogs are breed purely for profit and their care and health are forfeited for the bottom line.

Keep your dog on
heartworm preventative and current on vaccinations. Parvo and heartworms are easily prevented illnesses that can kill a dog and are expensive to treat.

Adopt your next pet from a shelter or rescue organization. The love you’ll receive from a dog who knows how bad life can be, cannot be matched.
The feeling you get knowing you saved a life; Priceless.
